Fold Down Ladders

Safetylyne folding ladders provide a safe permanent access to ceiling voids and roof spaces, folding flat to keep the floor clear when not in use.

This ceiling retractable ladder stays hidden in its housing.

The ladder drops down with a pull, extends and locks into position for stable climbing.

This ceiling access system is suitable for controlled repeatable access to ceilings, roofs, and mezzanines.

Fold down ladders apllications

Where do fold down ladders work best?

Folding ladders work well for spaces where floor area needs to stay clear. For example, in offices and apartment buildings, or storage facilities and manufacturing facilities for ceiling void access.

These retractable ladders are designed to suit different ceiling types.

Built for frequent controlled access

A fold down ladder from Safetylyne carries an industrial working load rating of 150kg, rated for single-person use and built to handle frequent daily access over the long term. The mechanism runs on a soft-close system, so the ladder retracts smoothly and quietly instead of slamming shut.

A square key-operated lock keeps the ladder secured between uses, so only authorised personnel bring it down. The pull-down hook pole brings the ladder down quickly from the ground level.

Safetylyne fold-down ladder comes with a warranty of up to 15 years, well ahead of the 2 to 3 year warranties common across the market. That warranty reflects the strength of the aluminium construction and the amount of testing the system goes through before it reaches a site.
